Hurricanes
and the Caribbean
We all know
that in the Caribbean hurricanes are common, but in Puerto
Rico, like many other countries or cities within this area,
have been blessed by the absence of a direct hit for a long
time. This lack of activity naturally brings a feeling
of complacency which in turn results in a lack of preparation
and awareness, such as when Hurricane Georges blew upon the
Caribbean.
